1.1.1 All registered members of Official Sexpression:UK Branches shall be Student Members of the CIO providing they:
1.1.1.1 are a student enrolled at a UK university at the beginning of the academic year
1.1.1.2 are a student registered with an official Sexpression:UK Branch or are a member of the current National Committee
1.1.1.3 have signed the Sexpression:UK Membership Agreement
1.1.2 There shall be a non-student membership of the CIO available for Alumni Members
1.1.2.1 Alumni Membership shall be open to all previous Student Members of the CIO upon payment of the appropriate annual membership fee
1.2.1 Student Members shall be entitled to:
1.2.1.1 Seek support and guidance from the National Committee at any time
1.2.1.2 Attend all Sexpression:UK events provided there is enough capacity
1.2.1.3 Stand in Sexpression:UK elections
1.2.1.4 Represent Sexpression:UK at external events with written permission from the National Committee
1.2.1.5 From time to time undertake other activities as shall be defined by the Trustees on behalf of Sexpression:UK, these activities may be both internal to the organisation or external
1.2.2 Student Members shall be entitled to obtain the right to volunteer at Branch teaching sessions at the discretion of their local committee, providing they:
1.2.2.1 have undergone annual Child Protection Training in line with the Sexpression:UK Child Protection Policy in the respective academic year
1.2.2.2 have undergone appropriate training devised and delivered by the Branch in conjunction with the National Training Director
1.2.2.3 possess a valid DBS, PVG or other relevant disclosure document (as defined by Sexpression:UK Child Protection Policy) which must be presented upon request to the Branch Committee and National Committee
1.2.3 Alumni Members shall be entitled to:
1.2.3.1 Attend all Sexpression:UK events provided there is enough capacity
1.2.3.2 From time to time undertake other activities as shall be defined by the Trustees on behalf of Sexpression:UK, these activities may be both internal to the organisation or external
1.3.1 All forms of membership shall be subject to the adherence to the organisation’s policies and Membership Agreement
1.4.1 Student Membership will be withdrawn, in accordance with the Constitution, if the member ceases to be a student, or decision is made by the Branches Council that it is in the best interests of the CIO to remove them from Student Membership
1.4.2 All forms of membership shall be subject to withdrawal or suspension for breach of organisational policies, code of conduct, Membership Agreement or any such cause as is defined by the Trustees
1.4.3 All forms of membership shall be subject to voluntary withdrawal by the member
2.1.1 A Branch is a group of students at a UK university who operate in accordance with the Constitution and Bye Laws of Sexpression:UK
