Communications Director works closely with National Director and Externals Director, as well as overseeing the Social Media Team, to maintain the professional image of Sexpression:UK. The role is creative and variable, with plenty of opportunities to shape our online presence.

However, it is also an admin role and requires great organisation skills to keep up with all internal and external communications.

Description of Duties

Oversee Sexpression:UK’s online presence

➔ Recruit Sexpression:UK’s Social Media Officers and work with them to achieve the duties of the role in relation to social media

➔ Manage Sexpression:UK’s social media accounts together with Social Media Team and work to increase the audience and engagement

➔ Manage Sexpression:UK’s website with the Technical Coordinator and respond to requests and messages that come through the communications form

➔ Compile Sexpression:UK’s regular newsletter

➔ Generate publicity materials for the charity and its events

➔ Liaise with Branches, other National Committee members, and conference committees to ensure that Sexpression:UK’s branding retains continuity and follows the principles outlined in the style guide

Support Sexpression:UK’s Branches in their online presence and communications

➔ Ensure Branches have access to their official @sexpression.org.uk email accounts

➔ Together with Branches Director, collate and record Branch social media login details

➔ Ensure Sexpression:UK’s communications agreement is upheld by Branches

➔ Organise email account access and asset packs for new Branches

Provide internal communication’s support to National Committee and Sexpression:UK

➔ Organise and minute National Committee meetings and Branches Council meetings

➔ Update and disseminate the updated bye laws when amendments are made

➔ Organise the National Committee's embroidered hoodies

Support the organising committees of National Conference and General Assembly in relation to communications

➔ Organise online ticket sales for the conferences

➔ Work with the organising committees to organise promotional materials and publicity for the conference

➔ Organise recruitment campaigns for National committee elections and ad hoc Trustee recruitment
